Sunday’s Week 1 win came at a painful cost for the Baltimore Ravens.
Multiple key players, including Marcus Williams, got hurt during the 25-9 victory over the Houston Texans. The starting safety left with a pec injury.
Head coach John Harbaugh told reporters Monday, via ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, that Williams will “be out for a while.” However, it may not be a season-ending injury.
His status could depend on whether Williams undergoes surgery.

Williams returned for his second season with the Ravens after registering four interceptions in 10 games last year. The former New Orleans Saints mainstay tallied four tackles and a pass defense before exiting Sunday’s game.
Unfortunately, the injury bug wasn’t contained to Williams.
Offensive linemen Ronnie Stanley and Tyler Linderbaum are both uncertain for Week 2’s AFC North game against the Cincinnati Bengals with a knee and ankle sprain, respectively. Running back J.K. Dobbins will miss the rest of the reason after tearing his Achilles.
While they won’t have Williams, the Ravens will look to welcome back some significant players when going to Cincinnati.
Baltimore’s secondary was already missing Marlon Humphrey, who underwent foot surgery during training camp. Harbaugh said the cornerback has a chance to return his week.
Harbaugh also declared that star tight end Mark Andrews “looks good” after missing Sunday’s opener with a quad injury.
