For a second straight season, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson had to miss significant time.
In 2021, Jackson missed the final four games of the season and in 2022, he had to miss the final five games, plus the wild card game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
There weren’t many injury updates on him while he was out, which frustrated Ravens fans. Heck, some were even upset that he couldn’t play when it mattered most in the playoffs.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh was asked about that backlash during a media appearance on Wednesday and didn’t give it the time of day.
“Nobody does more than Lamar,” Harbaugh said, via ProFootballTalk. “I promise you — to your other question back there, I didn’t mean to skip over it, but if he could’ve played, just like all four players, he would’ve played. There’s no question in my mind about that. And he would’ve played as soon as he was ready to play.”
Jackson has missed 10 of the Ravens’ last 22 games over the last two seasons.
That said, they’re still rightfully trying to sign him as they don’t want to let him get away. They’re “hopeful” about a deal, but until it’s done, you never know what can happen.
