Lamar Jackson was ruled out on Sunday for the Baltimore Ravens due to an illness. On Monday afternoon, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh had an update on his MVP-caliber quarterback.
Thankfully, it sounds like Jackson is making progress in his recovery.
“He felt good today,” Harbaugh told reporters, via ESPN. “I don’t know how good. But he feels much better today, from what I was told. I haven’t seen him.”
Harbaugh isn’t ready to commit to Jackson playing this Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, but he is “very hopeful” that Jackson will be able to participate in Tuesday’s walk-through.

According to multiple reports, Jackson tried to keep himself hydrated so he can play this past Sunday. Unfortunately for the star quarterback, he just wasn’t able to feel like himself.
Despite not having Jackson on Sunday, the Ravens defeated the Bears. Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley filled in for Jackson and led the team to a game-winning drive in the final minute.
Huntley finished his first NFL start with 219 passing yards and an interception. He also had seven carries for 40 rushing yards.
In the event that Jackson has to miss another game, Huntley would start for the Ravens this Sunday. For now, however, it seems like Jackson will have a chance to suit up for this prime-time matchup against the Browns.
