After shutting his phone off and buying a one-way ticket to Thailand, ex-Cardinals head coach could soon be making a return to the NFL.
According to NFL insider Josina Anderson, Kingsbury had conversations with the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday about potentially joining their staff. That said, Anderson notes that those talks “did not produce an imminent fit on timing and other factors.”
The Cardinals fired Kingsbury after an extremely disappointing 2022 season that saw Arizona struggle throughout and some friction develop between he and star quarterback Kyler Murray.
Kingsbury also reportedly interviewed for the Houston Texans offensive coordinator job under DeMeco Ryans, but Houston decided to go another direction.
With questions surrounding Lamar Jackson’s future in Baltimore, it’s hard to imagine any coordinator wanting to sign on without knowing the Ravens plan of action at quarterback.
We’ll see where Kingsbury ultimately ends up as we head towards a new league year.
