Kyle Hamilton ranked No. 1 among players under 25: ‘He’s a cheat code weapon in the secondary’

The Ravens’ third-year safety tops the NFL list of best players under 25 years of age.

In the 2022 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens selected arguably the best football player in the draft at No. 14 overall, safety Kyle Hamilton. Since then, he’s not only been one of the NFL’s best young players, but among the NFL’s best, earning two Pro Bowls and two All-Pros in three seasons. Now, at 24-years-old, Hamilton was ranked the No. 1 player under 25 by The 33rd Team’s Sam Monson and Steve Palazzolo.

“The best player under the age of 25 in the NFL is Kyle Hamilton, Baltimore Ravens safety/nickel hybrid. Again, just cheat-code weapon in the secondary. We talked about him before as being the best safety in the NFL. What makes him special, I think — we’ve nit-picked all the other players on this list just having some kind of flaw. And maybe it’s not a critical flaw, [but] it’s just enough to make you rank them second or third [etc.]. Hamilton isn’t just the best safety in the NFL, I think he’s arguably the best at every specific element of being safety. He might be the best free safety in the NFL; he might be the best strong safety in the NFL; and he might be the best tight end eraser/slot weapon hybrid. And he’s the best at all those things at the same time. Nobody else is like that. There’s no other player like that where you can argue what is effectively three or four distinct positions and be the best at all of them at the same time. I can’t think of another player that really fits into that category.”

“It is really tough to come up with a comparison. You and I both love Brian Branch because of that versatility and I think Kyle Hamilton is a suped-up version of Branch — no offense to Branch, we love Branch, he’s No. 7 [on this list] for you.

“He comes into the league as an unbelievable free safety, then he starts coming down in and around the box, in the slot, and he can play free safety. Those are different skillsets… He’s just an elite football player at whatever the Ravens want him to do.”
