Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has already accomplished an awful lot since entering the NFL in 2018, and yet, he still feels like he has something to prove.
During an appearance on “The Shop,” Jackson revealed that he has something to prove as a Black quarterback in the NFL. That’s because he believes racial bias still exists against Black quarterbacks.
“It’s still there,” Jackson said. “That’s why I need that championship.”
LeBron James, who was also on the show, agreed with Jackson. He replied, “It’s dying off, but it’s still there.”
Jackson’s comments have received a lot of attention over the past few hours. For the most part, fans agree with Jackson on this topic.
“He’s absolutely right,” one fan said.

“He’s not wrong,” a second fan tweeted. “And it’s really sad. A former GM told him to switch to receiver less than 2 years before he won MVP.”

At this point, Jackson’s résumé is just missing a Super Bowl ring.
Considering he’s just 25 years old, it’s safe to say Jackson has plenty of time to check that off his bucket list.
