High praise for the two-time league MVP in this year’s version of Madden.

As the NFL offseason progresses into the early summer, it’s around the time of the year where information on the latest edition of “Madden” are released. That includes every team’s player ratings in the illustrious video game, which usually draw the attention of game-players and average football fans alike.

Madden 25 will not be officially available until this coming August 16. However, player ratings for this year’s game are now accessible. For the Baltimore Ravens, quarterback Lamar Jackson has an overall rating of 98 overall, which makes him the second-highest rated signal-caller in the game.

Jackson trails only Patrick Mahomes, whose once again a 99 overall, while holding a distant advantage over Joe Burrow (93), Josh Allen (92), and Dak Prescott (90, who round out the Top 5 at the position.

Here’s the Top-10 QB ratings in Madden 25:

1. Patrick Mahomes: 99
2. Lamar Jackson: 98
3. Joe Burrow: 93
4. Josh Allen: 92
5. Dak Prescott: 90
6. Tua Tagovailoa: 88
7. Jalen Hurts: 87
8. Justin Herbert: 87
9. Brock Purdy: 85
10. Kirk Cousins: 84 pic.twitter.com/cl78jQKkCt

This represents a sizeable jump for Jackson, who was rated in the low-90s at the onset of Madden 24 last year. Coming off an MVP-winning season where he fell just one game short of a Super Bowl appearance, it’s not surprising that the folks at Madden rewarded Jackson with his highest ever rating to-date. Jackson was already one of the more fun players to use in the game given his dual-threat abilities at the quarterback position. That will be even more the case now that some of his skills have been improved.

Jackson’s overall rating of 98 also makes him tied for the sixth-highest rated player in the game as a whole. He’s tied with Micah Parsons, Myles Garrett, Trent Williams, and Zack Martin, all of whom also have 98 ratings.

After the two-time league MVP, the Ravens’ next highest-rated player is linebacker Roquan Smith, who was given a rating of 95 overall. The Ravens have three other players who cracked the 90+ overall club: tight end Mark Andrews (94), running back Derrick Henry (94), and cornerback Marlon Humphrey (91).
