Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has been nominated for two ESPYs

The individual accolade opportunities for Lamar Jackson continue to pile on after it was announced he is up for two ESPY awards in 2024.

Unsurprisingly, after being awarded the league MVP—and one-vote shy from being unanimously voted again—Jackson is up for the best NFL player. The others in the category include Cleveland Browns edge rusher Myles Garrett, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey.

AP NFL MVP voting
Lamar Jackson 49-0-1-0-0 = 493
Dak Prescott 0-17-13-11-6 = 152
Christian McCaffrey 0-17-12-11-4 = 147
Brock Purdy 0-9-5-12-13 = 97
Josh Allen 1-5-11-3-6 = 80
Tyreek Hill 0-2-6-9-14 = 60
Patrick Mahomes 0-0-2-2-2 = 12

Jackson has also been nominated for best play after catching his own deflected pass and running for a first down in the AFC Championship game against the Chiefs.

The other top plays include Oklahoma’s Jayda Coleman’s walk-off home run to send her team to the softball championship series, Minnesota Timberwolves’ Anthony Edward’s dunk on Jazz’s John Collins and Alabama’s Jalen Milroe’s touchdown pass on 4th & 31 to beat Auburn.

Additionally, former Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has been nominated for “Best comeback athlete.”
