As Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson continues to seek a new team for 2023, one team has apparently declared itself as the one he wants to join the most.
According to Chad Graff of The Athletic, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft told the media today that he received a text message from rapper Meek Mill, telling him that Jackson wants to join the Patriots.
Glossing over how Kraft has Meek Mill’s cellphone number, Kraft would neither confirm nor deny any Patriots interest in acquiring Jackson. He made it clear that the personnel decision would come down to head coach Bill Belichick.
The Patriots currently have a decent quarterback in Mac Jones, but coming off a down season and a year where they missed the playoffs, the hype is starting to cool on him.
Robert Kraft said Meek Mill texted him a few days ago saying that Lamar Jackson wanted to come to the Patriots.
But Kraft said it was Belichick’s decision.

The Baltimore Ravens placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on Lamar Jackson earlier this offseason, allowing teams to submit an offer sheet and acquire him for two first-round picks if the Ravens choose not to match.
But no teams have submitted an offer sheet yet and it’s believed that a litany of factors are keeping teams from pursuing him at all.
The Patriots could certainly use a former MVP quarterback to lead them in the post-Tom Brady era.
Would Lamar Jackson be a good fit for the New England Patriots?
