Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is currently allowed to negotiate a long-term contract with other teams. The problem for the former MVP is that he doesn’t have a huge market at the moment.
Despite how great Jackson has been since entering the NFL in 2018, teams have refrained from throwing a lucrative offer sheet his way. That could change though.
According to Stephen Holder of ESPN, the Colts have not ruled out having discussions with Jackson.
“Indianapolis did not rule out having discussions with Jackson, according to a team source,” Holder wrote. “However, the club has not taken any substantive steps regarding Jackson and it is unclear whether it intends to do so. Team sources have expressed skepticism about pursuing Jackson.”
Although it doesn’t sound like a partnership between Jackson and the Colts is imminent, this would undoubtedly solve the franchise’s issue at quarterback.
This could change the entire complexion of the draft if Indy do move for lamar.
The idea that two of the best 4 QBs could become available? 😳 https://t.co/s9OSRScKwR

If a team were to sign Jackson this offseason, they’d have to give up a pair of first-round picks.
We’ll see if there’s one team out there willing to pay that price in order to land Jackson.
