It’s official: Odell Beckham Jr. is now a proud member of the Baltimore Ravens. And to mark the occasion, he’s taking a new jersey number too.
OBJ is officially being introduced by the Ravens today, ending a year-long free agency period where he was pursued by multiple teams while recovering from a knee injury. As part of his joining the team, OBJ has decided to take the No. 3 as his new uniform number.
OBJ wore the No. 3 jersey while he was at LSU, but until recently NFL rules prevented him from wearing any number lower than 10. Now he’s got both a new team that he loves and his favorite number to wear.
While some fans were super excited to have OBJ in the fold and are now ordering his jersey, most fans have a question: What happens to incumbent No. 3-wearer James Proche?
The answer for most is that he’s going to or should be cut:
LETS GOOO. It’s not shipping until July but yeah https://t.co/YfZxHOqZBp

James Proche has been with the Ravens for the past three seasons after going to them in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. But his contributions to the team in the receiving game have been minimal.
With OBJ now in the fold, Proche has a lot more to worry about than whether he’ll get to wear his preferred jersey number or not.
Will you be buying a new OBJ jersey?
