Rapper Meek Mill and Patriots owner Robert Kraft have been friendly for a while, dating back to when Kraft helped Mill secure his release from prison.
On Monday, Kraft dropped a bombshell involving Meek Mill at the Annual League Meetings in Arizona, telling reporters that the Philadelphia-based entertainer texted him a few days ago to tell him Lamar Jackson wants to be a Patriot.
We’re not sure Bill Belichick would want to part with two first-round picks to acquire Jackson from Baltimore, but Kraft merely mentioning the possibility today has sparked lots of chatter from around the NFL world.
“Love this. The Patriots are never dull,” said Christopher Price of The Boston Globe.”

Jackson shared on Twitter on Monday that he formally requested a trade from the Ravens on March 2. Baltimore later used the non-exclusive franchise tag on the former league MVP.
As of now, no team has shown interest in trading for Jackson, but that could change. We still don’t see New England being interested, but it’s a fun hypothetical to consider.
