The Baltimore Ravens introduced their newest wide receiver acquisition, Odell Beckham Jr., on Thursday.
Before they signed the 30-year-old wideout, Baltimore also explored some other options at the position. One of them was apparently Courtland Sutton of the Denver Broncos.
Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reported that earlier this offseason, the Ravens and Broncos were in the process of working out a trade for the 27-year-old Sutton before Denver changed its mind.
“At one point, there appeared to be a deal to be made for Courtland Sutton, but the Denver Broncos decided they didn’t want to trade him,” Zrebiec wrote.

Sutton, a second-round draft pick for the Broncos in 2018, has been the subject of trade rumors along with his teammate and fellow wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.
Thus far, Denver has been reluctant to deal either. Financially, Sutton and Beckham are set to make similar amounts of money this season, though, their contracts are structured differently.
Beckham has not played in the NFL since Super Bowl LVI, when he suffered a torn ACL while helping the Los Angeles Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals to win the world championship.
