The Baltimore Ravens offense is in line to receive a major boost for this Sunday’s AFC Championship Game.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, tight end Mark Andrews (fibula/ankle) “came close to coming back” last weekend in the Divisional Round and is on track to make his return this Sunday.
“The target was always the AFC title game. It was just really on Baltimore to get there,” Rapoport said. “They are now there. They are one of these final four teams. Mark Andrews is expected to play, to make his dramatic comeback, barring a setback.”

Andrews suffered a cracked fibula and ankle ligament damage in Week 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals back on Nov. 16. He underwent surgery and has not played since then, but has been working to get back on the field during the postseason.
Andrews caught 45 passes for 544 yards and six touchdowns in 10 games this season before getting injured. In his absence, second-year tight end Isaiah Likely has emerged, catching six touchdowns in seven games, including one in Baltimore’s playoff win over the Houston Texans last Saturday.
The Ravens will face the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC Championship at 3 p.m. ET Sunday on CBS.
