The Baltimore Ravens are hoping to see the All-Pro tight end return in the playoffs; there are no setbacks thus far.
On Wednesday, Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh shared an update on tight end Mark Andrews regarding his rehabilitation from an ankle injury suffered in Week 11.
“I’ve heard of no setbacks,” Harbaugh said. “I think [Mark Andrews] is on schedule as far as I’ve heard. [He’s] maybe a little ahead of schedule – I don’t know really if that’s accurate to say. But I’ve seen him in there working, and he’s in great spirits, and we’re hopeful.”
While Harbaugh shared the same optimism he gave when initially announcing it may not be a season-ending injury, it appeared the Ravens won’t have him for at least the next two weeks. If they get Andrews back, it will be in the playoffs.
“Our job is to get to that point,” Harbaugh said. “That’s what we have to do is get to the point where we’re still playing when he comes back, and it’s going to take everything we have.”
A big way to have a chance at Andrews returning would be locking up the No. 1 seed, as they would have an extra week before playing in the postseason, giving the All-Pro more time to rehabilitate.
