MLB World Series | Tips, Odds & Predictions

October 29, 2021 by The Sports Fan Journal

It’s officially the start of the 2021 MLB World Series! After plenty of exciting baseball action, it all comes down to this. The Houston Astros are set to take on the Atlanta Braves in a highly-anticipated World Series – who will be crowned world champions?

Houston Astros

After finishing the regular season top of the American League West, the Houston Astros were impressive in the post-season to make it to the World Series. Following a 3-1 divisional series win against the AL Central leaders, the Chicago White Sox, the Astros then overcame the Boston Red Sox 4-2 in the AL Championship Series. Heading into game 1 of the world series later today, the majority of bookies are considering Houston as favorites – this could certainly give the franchise some confidence heading into the series.

Atlanta Braves

In the 2021 MLB regular season, the Atlanta Braves also managed to finish top of their division in the NL East. The Braves secured 88 wins in the regular season, including winning eight of their last 10 games. Then, heading into the playoff bracket, Atlanta secured a 3-1 series win against NL Central winners the Milwaukee Brewers. In the NLCS, the Braves beat the high-flying LA Dodgers, and managed to claim their spot in the World Series.

Latest MLB World Series Betting Odds

As we mentioned earlier, the majority of US bookmakers & online betting sites consider the Houston Astros as favorites to win the 2021 World Series. As of today, the moneyline odds for each franchise to win the World Series, according to BetMGM, are:

Houston Astros: -125

Atlanta Braves: +105

The betting odds are close, but the Astros are edging it heading into the first game of the series. Almost every betting site & sportsbook is offering odds on the final MLB series of the year, meaning there’s something for everyone! Check out our bookmaker reviews @ CaptainGambling.com to find the perfect bookie for you.

Astros vs Braves – Tips & Predictions

At the latest, we will have a world champion crowned by the end of Game 7, on the night of Wednesday 3rd November. When we take a look at Game 1 of the World Series, the Astros are slight favorites once again to get the first win. BetMGM – today’s leading US online sportsbook – is offering odds for total runs for each franchise – one betting market we think is very appealing to punters.

Our latest MLB betting tip for the first game is the Houston Astros to score over 6.5 runs – odds are currently at +280, and we highly recommend making the most of the generous odds!
