Week 17 ends with a one-sided matchup of importance
The final game of Week 17 is upon us as the the Detroit Lions look to continue their winning ways against the San Francisco 49ers.

The Lions are 13-2 this year, establishing a new franchise record for the most wins in a season. They’ve also won seven road games this year, the most they’ve ever logged in a season. Detroit produced 11-straight wins from Weeks 3-14, marking the longest winning streak in team history. The Lions have clinched playoff berths in consecutive seasons for the first time since doing so from 1993-95. Under Head Coach Dan Campbell, the Lions have produced a winning record in each of the last three seasons, something they last accomplished from 1993-95. Detroit has totaled 34 wins in that span, their most victories in any three-season span in franchise history. Detroit has produced 12-or-more wins in each of the last two seasons, the first time Detroit has logged double-digit victories in consecutive years. The Lions have logged 25 wins over the last two seasons, their most in any two-season span in franchise history.
