NFL insiders believe the Raiders may wind up entertaining Maxx Crosby trade offers starting next month in free agency. According to a Bleacher Report, they say Las Vegas could put their best pass rusher on the trade block if they receive a lucrative deal they can’t turn down. However, it’s hard to imagine they would do that considering Crosby likes the direction where the team is heading since hiring a new promising regime under head coach Pete Carroll. This hasn’t stopped him from wanting a new deal as soon as possible since he has no more guaranteed money left on his contract.
Crosby is the cornerstone of the defense and the last thing the Raiders would want to avoid is him holding out. Sources believe the trade scenario for Crosby is still very much alive and will be something most will talk about since he’s been questioning his future as well. After losing 10 games in a row, Crosby was battling an injury for the majority of the 2024 campaign and it might not be worth remaining with a team that is nowhere near a winning culture, especially with the special output he’s been able to pour onto the field. The former Eastern Michigan product is a four-time Pro Bowler in his early career, recording elite numbers of 59.5 sacks in 95 career regular-season games.
Raiders could use Crosby as a player on the trade block to get several picks in return to help speed up the rebuilding process. Perhaps, they may not send him to the Chargers or Ravens but it’s still a possibility considering what type of offer they receive in return.

It’s easy to see why the Los Angeles Chargers could look into a Crosby trade. The Chargers themselves have built a promising foundation since head coach Jim Harbaugh came back into the league. Quarterback Justin Herbert became a better passer while the defense with names like Poona Ford and Khalil Mack have got better. However, both of these players will become free agents so they need a formidable defensive pass rusher to excel deep into the trenches. Nobody loves a defense game more than Harbaugh and if Crosby becomes available, many should anticipate the Chargers to emerge as the frontrunners for him.
Meanwhile, Joey Bosa is a cut candidate and it’s fair to say this defense will look completely different next year. The Chargers need to address the secondary but they can’t do that until they figure out a plan for the pass rush. Harbaugh loves to play physically and Crosby has more than the right characteristics for the job.
Crown Jewel Piece
For the Ravens, the defense is getting younger as each year goes by. Last offseason, they lost several key defensive pieces such as Jadeveon Clowney and Geno Stone. The Ravens did well without them but it wasn’t nowhere near top level like the organization was hoping for. Trenton Simpson continues to be a bust while Roquan Smith and Kyle Van Noy have been holding the team together like glue.
Perhaps, Baltimore could be another team Crosby may be able to move to. The Ravens have star quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Derrick Henry on the same team which means the roster is not too far from winning a Super Bowl. Crosby could be the last crown jewel piece on their quest for a ring.
