With Lamar Jackson formally announcing his trade request, NFL analysts have tried to uncover why there hasn’t been much of a market for the MVP quarterback.
According to ESPN NFL insider Chris Mortensen, there are two concerns that NFL teams – including their owners – have with Jackson. One is the number of practices, snaps and games he’s missed due to injuries, and the other his whether his sleep habits and nutrition are contributing to his absences.
But Mortensen made it clear that character is not considered an issue for teams right now.
“A few teams (owners included) have discussed Jackson’s case. One team was hesitant re: number of games/snaps & practices missed last 2 to 3 years vs $$$ invested. Also wonder whether his sleep habits and nutrition contribute to his absences. Nobody speaks ill of his character,” Mortensen wrote.

Lamar Jackson let it be known today that he and the Ravens are far apart on negotiating a new contract and has requested a trade.
But NFL teams could have simply submitted an offer sheet to Jackson for him to sign in exchange for a pair of first-round draft picks. Thus far, none have stepped up to the plate to even try to make that happen.
This situation could easily drag on for a long time.
Will Lamar Jackson ever play another snap for the Baltimore Ravens?
