Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson isn’t an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but he could negotiate a long-term contract with other teams since he received the non-exclusive franchise tag.
Despite how dynamic Jackson is at the quarterback position, a front-runner for his services hasn’t emerged yet. That being said, the Patriots were recently mentioned as a potential suitor.
Mike Kadlick of CLNS Media said the Patriots are a team that “absolutely should/would” sign Jackson to an offer sheet and could “feasibly do it.”
Judging by the reactions on social media, Patriots fans would love to see Jackson under center for the 2023 season.
“No offense but anyone saying No to this are just lying to themselves lol. I’m taking Lamar over having 2 first and Mac all day every day,” a Patriots fan said.
“Alright, I can get delusional about this for sure,” another fan wrote.
Jackson has a 45-16 record since joining the Ravens in 2018. He has 12,209 passing yards, 4,437 rushing yards and 125 total touchdowns.
Do you think the Patriots will pursue Jackson this offseason?
