The Ravens announced Tuesday that Lamar Jackson will receive the non-exclusive franchise tag. That means he’s free to discuss a long-term contract with other teams.
Much to the surprise of the NFL world, a suitor for Jackson hasn’t emerged yet. In fact, teams like the Commanders and Falcons have already said they’ll steer clear of these sweepstakes.
Nonetheless, BetOnline has revealed new odds for Jackson’s next team. Of course, this is strictly in the event that he leaves the Ravens.
At the moment, the Lions are the favorites at +300. The Buccaneers have the second-best odds at +450.
Lions fans had an awful lot to say about the latest odds from BetOnline.
“Do it @Lions,” one fan tweeted.
“Buying tickets for the Super Bowl if we get Lamar,” a Lions fan said.
“I’ll actually be sick if Lamar is a Lion for the price he’s seeking,” another Detroit fan commented.
The Lions received really nice production from veteran quarterback Jared Goff this past season. However, there’s always room for improvement.
If the Lions acquire Jackson this offseason, they’d immediately become the team to beat in the NFC North.
