Lamar Jackson is expected to miss his fifth straight game since suffering a PCL sprain in Week 14.
The superstar quarterback is unlikely to take the field for the Ravens’ Week 18 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
That being said, Jackson is expected to return for his team’s postseason run.
“I was told that the Ravens are confident in Lamar Jackson returning for the playoffs,” NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport said on The Pat McAfee Show Thursday.
The NFL world took to Twitter to react to this news.
“I’ll believe this when i seen him either practicing or running out the tunnel because they said 1-3 weeks ago he’d play against ATL,” one fan wrote.
“Hes ready when hes ready. Let my dog heal. This is getting overly dramatic,” another added.
“Well this is a positive,” another said.
Some people around the league are suggesting that Jackson is delaying his return due to his impending contract negotiations with the Ravens. Rapoprt said he doesn’t think Jackson’s injury situation is contract related.
Backup Tyler Huntley is expected to make his fifth straight start this weekend.
