After missing the entire 2022 season in ACL tear recovery, Odell Beckham Jr. is set to make his long-awaited NFL return with the Baltimore Ravens this coming season.
OBJ signed a one-year free-agent deal up to $18 million earlier this offseason — a contract that many view as an overpay for the 30-year-old wide receiver coming off a serious knee injury.
Beckham recently shared a message for these doubters.
“The doubts are for whoever has them to have them, but it’s not what enters my mind and my body,” the veteran wide receiver said, via ESPN. “I know what I can do.”
Beckham gives the Ravens some much-needed wide receiver depth. If he’s able to stay healthy, he has an opportunity to be a valuable pass-catching asset for star quarterback Lamar Jackson.
“I’m excited, but I’m also very determined and hungry,” Beckham added. “So through the smiles there’s still this, ‘I really want this badly.’ I’m ready to be great, ready to be excellent again.”
Beckham and the Ravens will kickoff their regular-season schedule with a Week 1 matchup against the Houston Texans.
