In a recent Truth Social post, President Donald Trump praised the Armstrong Williams Show, specifically highlighting an interview with Hillary Fordwich.
“She was fantastic. Really gets a thank you to Hillary and Armstrong for a great interview on America and Strength,” Trump said in the post.
Williams, a part owner of The Baltimore Sun, expressed his gratitude, saying, “It’s such an honor to be namechecked by the president of the United States.”
The show covered critical topics such as immigration, trade, and the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Williams noted that Trump is focused on three main concerns: the economy, diplomatic solutions, and avoiding military defeat.
“Those are the three things that he wants,” Williams said.
The discussion also touched on the deployment of federal troops in American cities, with Chicago potentially being next. Williams referenced Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser’s acknowledgment of a 7% reduction in crime, saying, “This is not a GOP mayor. This is a very Democratic mayor… But for her to acknowledge trouble puts people like the mayor of Chicago, the mayor of Baltimore, other major cities on the spot.”
Meanwhile, at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, Chinese President Xi Jinping criticized “bullying behavior” and announced plans for an SCO development bank. Williams suggested that Xi aims to position himself as a global peacemaker, challenging Trump’s influence on the world stage.
