It’s a get-out-of-this-thing-healthy type of game

The Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers are set to square off in the regular season finale. For one team, it’s about getting depth reps and keeping everyone healthy. For the latter, it’s about trying to secure a spot in the playoffs and win their first playoff game since 2016.

Injury Report

Ravens Playing It Safe

The importance for this Saturday is not on the win. No matter what is said, it’s clear that’s not the case. Look at who will be out for Saturday.

  1. WR Odell Beckham jr.
  2. LB Malik Harrison
  3. CB Marlon Humphrey
  4. QB Lamar Jackson
  5. DB Daryl Worley (IR)
  6. OL Kevin Zeitler
  7. WR Zay Flowers (doubtful)

The Ravens are banged up. All teams are. That’s why the Ravens earned their bye week, and they earned the No. 1 seed a week early, granting them the opportunity to rest their hurt starters and recover in time for the playoffs, and not a Week 18 game that affords them nothing by winning.

Tyler Huntley’s Opportunity

In years prior, when Huntley’s been tagged in, the Ravens have needed him and others desperately to step up. This week, it’s different, Huntley said on Friday.

“I’ll just say, going into this game, it’s going to be a little bit of personnel difference. In the past here, we’ve been down a lot of people, and the situation was way different,” Huntley said. “But now we’ve got a good group in there, and we’re just going to take it from there.”

With this opportunity comes a chance to show how Huntley navigates the offense. He’s looking forward to it.

“I find it good. It’s a straightforward plan each and every week, and it’s easy to grasp and just take it play by play,” Huntley said. “Really, I think, that’s what ‘LJ’ [Lamar Jackson] just shot through the roof [on] – just taking every play one snap at a time.”

DVOA Stuff

The Ravens are the No. 1 team by DVOA.

Offense: No. 2
Defense: No. 1
Special Teams: No. 2

The Steelers are the No. 11 team by DVOA, trailing the Ravens in total DVOA by 42.7 (!) points.

Offense: No. 15
Defense: No. 7
Special Teams: No. 18
