The Super Bowl is mere hours away and Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman’s rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles. In an interview with SiriusXM’s Adam Ronis and Kendall Valenzuela, Bateman shared he’s hoping for an Eagles’ win due to his feelings for the Chiefs.
“I definitely wan the Eagles to win, but we all know how that goes,” Bateman said. “I just don’t have respect for [the Chiefs] anymore. And I think we all see why. And I’m never even that type of guy. I have no rivalries. No matter if my college was this rivalry, I don’t have no rivalries. But I feel like now, being here, it’s — some stuff just goes too far and it affects other people and other people’s lives and it affects other people’s outcomes. And I don’t really like that.”

Along with his disdain for the Chiefs, Bateman also wants to see Eagles running back Saquon Barkley win a Super Bowl.
“And Saquon deserves it,” Bateman said. “Jalen deserves it. I really think Saquon deserves it. He’s been through a lot in his career and he’s worked really hard to get back in his position and I like the underdog story. I kind of want him to win in New York’s face. Hopefully Saquon wins.”
Bateman’s sentiments are likely echoed throughout the Ravens’ fanbase as frustration in the Chiefs’ dynasty looks to win yet again.
