The Baltimore Ravens have seen the offensive tackle position become a need after the injury to All-Pro Ronnie Stanley. The team has seen Stanley play just one game in one and a half seasons, which now means they need to invest in the offensive tackle position in a big way.
One of the avenues to adding talent on their line would be through the draft. In the 2022 draft class there are plenty of great prospects at the position, including former University of North Iowa star Trevor Penning.

Penning doesn’t lack size, standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing around 327 pounds. He is an extremely physical player, never shying away from contact. However, there are many areas that he needs to clean up, including basic technique and some issues with his posture when he blocks. He is a functional athlete, but can struggle with lateral movement and bend.
While there had been some that believed that Penning would be a good fit for Baltimore at No. 14, his stock has seemed to have fallen recently and he now would likely be a better investment in the later part of the first round, if not the second. He still has plenty of upside to become a great player at the NFL level, but has a lot to work on.
