The Baltimore Ravens have been hit hard by injuries early on this season, particularly at the running back position.
J.K. Dobbins is out for the year with a torn Achilles, and Justice Hill is dealing with turf toe. The Ravens added a familiar face at the position by signing Kenyan Drake to their practice squad this week.
Additionally, they will activate veteran running back Melvin Gordon from the taxi squad for tomorrow’s game against the Indianapolis Colts, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

Gordon hasn’t played in an NFL regular season game since November 21, 2022, when he lost a costly fumble for the Denver Broncos in a loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Broncos released Gordon, who then caught on with the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice squad but did not appear in a game. Baltimore signed him to a free agent deal in July, and after releasing him at the end of training camp, signed Gordon to their practice squad in late August.
For his career, Gordon has rushed for 6,462 yards and 55 touchdowns in 108 regular season games.
