Ravens announce massive plans to change M&T Bank Stadium with renovations using $430 million in state funding
On Tuesday, the Baltimore Ravens announced a series of projects beginning in 2024 to renovate M&T Bank Stadium.

The makeover will in total take three years, where additions and changes will include the North and South Plaza, gatehouse, upper concourse, North, South and West End Zone club, West End Zone Suites and new suite boxes called “The Blackwing.”
In all, the renovations will cost the state at least $430 million.
The public funds will derive from a 2022 law passed by the General Assembly and then-Gov. Larry Hogan. The funding is usable now after the Ravens signed a long-term lease, which “unlocked their share of state funds.”
“In connection with the extension of our lease, we are grateful to partner with the State of Maryland and Maryland Stadium Authority for this significant investment,” Ravens President Sashi Brown said. “M&T Bank Stadium is not just home to the Ravens, but it’s an epicenter of excitement, opportunity and Maryland pride. Our team has designed exciting renovations that will elevate the gameday experience for every Ravens fan. As part of these renovations, we are also making important infrastructure investments to secure the stadium’s long-term viability. This renovation program positions M&T Bank Stadium as a venue that will continue to provide Ravens fans with one of the best gameday experiences in all of sports, while also attracting world-class concerts and other live events to Maryland.”
Once the scheduled improvements are don, the Ravens will still have access for the remaining $170 million in public money down the road.
“These are public dollars. [We] want to make sure we’re careful and thoughtful and efficient with the investment,” Brown said. “And we’ve worked well with MSA to get to, I think, a really good place that will be very impactful across the stadium and the fan experience as a whole.”
