The Baltimore Ravens have placed running back J.K. Dobbins on the physically unable to perform list (PUP) before the start of training camp.
“Dobbins did not participate in minicamp as he continues to try to get back to 100% physically with his surgically repaired knee. Dobbins did report to camp along with other injured veterans on Thursday. He and the rest of the players can come off the list at any time,” the team announced on Friday.
Dobbins suffered an ACL tear prior to the 2021 season and missed that entire campaign. He returned after the first two weeks of the 2022 season before suffering another knee injury in Week 6.
Through eight game appearances in 2022, Dobbins took 92 carries for 520 yards and two touchdowns. While he was productive in his limited time on the field, he clearly lacked some of the extra-gear speed he had before his injuries.
Fullback Patrick Ricard, cornerback Pepe Williams, defensive tackle Rayshad Nichols and wide receiver Mike Thomas were also placed on the Ravens’ PUP list.
