Ravens, Chargers Linked In Massive Trade Rumor

October 15, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

The Baltimore Ravens are one of the league’s biggest disappointments, and their lackluster start to the season could lead to a Mark Andrews trade. A former third-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Oklahoma product used to be one of the game’s most dangerous weapons at the tight end position. While he has slowed down a bit in his later years, he’s still having a solid season with 21 receptions for 174 yards and two touchdowns despite playing without Lamar Jackson for a chunk of the season.

While he’s still a good player, he’s in the final year of his contract and probably won’t return in 2026. With Isaiah Likely waiting in the wings, Baltimore shouldn’t re-sign Andrews to a new deal, and keeping him around for one season doesn’t make much sense when the team is already 1-5. In a recent article, Pro Football Focus proposed a trade between the Ravens and Chargers for Mark Andrews.

“Once considered the potential AFC frontrunner, the Ravens are now 1-5 with just a 20% chance to make the playoffs prior to Week 6. Baltimore has already sold off Oweh, and multiple other pieces – headlined by Andrews – could be next.”

Chargers, Ravens Could Agree to Another Massive Trade

The Los Angeles Chargers sit atop the AFC West following their thrilling victory over the Miami Dolphins, but it is not a comfortable lead. The Denver Broncos share an identical 4-2 record, and the Kansas City Chiefs are 3-3 and will see Rashee Rice return to the field next week. This team has suffered injury after injury so far and must add some talent to maintain their lead in the division.

While running back gets the most attention following the Najee Harris and Omarion Hampton injuries, this team could also use another tight end. Tyler Conklin looks well past his prime, and while Oronde Gadsden has flashed moments of greatness, this team could use a more consistent weapon. A Mark Andrews trade would give them that weapon and help this team keep up in one of the league’s most competitive divisions.
