For the third time in franchise history, the Ravens have won back-to-back division titles
For the ninth time in franchise history, the Baltimore Ravens have won the AFC North division after defeating the Cleveland Browns in Week 18, 35-10.
Along with being their ninth division crown, it’s the third time in franchise history they’ve won back-to-back division titles (2011-12, 2018-19).
The road to their repeat wasn’t a clean one. After their Week 11 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Ravens sat at 7-4, with the Steelers at 8-3 with the initial tiebreaker. By Week 14, things were only more grim as Ravens were 8-5 and Steelers climbed to 10-3 with a division win over the Cleveland Browns.
But as the Ravens rejuvenated from their Week 14 bye, they returned to rattle off three straight wins against the New York Giants, Steelers and Houston Texans. And while the Ravens found their win streak, the Steelers crashed, losing three-straight games to the Philadelphia Eagles, Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs. All that was left was for the Ravens to win in Week 18 against Cleveland to secure the division title, a home playoff game and knock Pittsburgh to be a road team for the playoffs.
