The Baltimore Ravens have experienced injury woes since before the 2021 NFL season began. Baltimore lost their top-two running backs in J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards to injury during training camp, as well as linebacker L.J. Fort, cornerback Marcus Peters and others.
Despite the plethora of injuries the Ravens have faced, they lead the entire AFC with a record of 8-3 heading into Week 13 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, this week’s injury report looked gloomy for the secondary.

The injury report on Friday featured all five of the Ravens’ current cornerbacks on the 53-man roster. Each of them questionable for Sunday.
Cornerbacks Marlon Humphrey (illness), Tavon Young (illness) and Jimmy Smith (neck/ankle) did not practice on Friday.
Anthony Averett (shoulder/ankle) and Chris Westry (thigh) were limited. Based off of their practice reports, Averett and Westry appear like they could be trending in the right direction for Sunday. Kevon Seymour was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list earlier in the week.
For the Ravens, the cornerback position seems to be one that many injuries occur at. Each season it feels like the team starts with an extremely deep unit, and then once the year progresses it gets decimated by different types of injuries.
With a tough matchup against division rival Steelers, Baltimore will need to figure out how to handle wide receivers Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool. Both can get separation and wreak havoc on a secondary, even with an aging quarterback in Ben Roethlisberger at the helm.
