Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters missed all of the 2021 season with a torn ACL that he sustained in the final days of training camp. Peters made his return to the defensive lineup in Week 2 of the 2022 season against the Miami Dolphins, playing a role in what turned out to be a 42-38 loss.
Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh spoke to the media about the performance of Peters on Sunday against Miami. He talked about how the veteran cornerback didn’t play every defensive snap, but he’s excited that Peters is back out on the field playing with his teammates.

“He was good. He was pretty good. It’s kind of the first game, [and] we had him on a bit of a pitch count, as you guys saw. There was a play or two he’s going to want back, for sure. He’s feeling the speed of the game a little bit, I think. He’s going to look at that and go, ‘OK, I have to keep taking the next step forward.’ He’s a veteran player; he’s one of the most talented corners in the league. He certainly has been, and so just keep working him back into that form. I’m excited that he’s back out there playing.”
Getting a player such as Peters back is crucial for the secondary. He is still looking to regain full form after being out of action for so long, but the more playing time he gets under his belt, the better he should be. Peters is still an extremely impactful player, and should make multiple big plays for the team throughout the course of the year.
