The Baltimore Ravens and running Derrick Henry have agreed to an extension that will keep the 31-year-old in Baltimore through the 2027 season. The Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry duo will look to get even better as the 2025 season continues to draw closer.
The two-year $30 million dollar deal includes $25 million guaranteed is the largest contract ever given to a running back over the age of 30. This deal comes on the heels of another sensational year for a running back that doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. After signing with the Ravens last offseason, Henry played in all 17 games for the Ravens rushing for over 100 yards in nine games and finishing the year with 1,921 rushing yards. Henry’s 16 touchdowns on the ground and a 5.9 yards per carry average were both career highs.
Henry will be backed up by veteran Justice Hill and third-year player Keaton Mitchell who looks to return to form as he worked back last season from a torn ACL suffered in 2023.
