The Baltimore Ravens have added plenty of pieces on both sides of the ball over the course of the 2022 offseason. They’ve picked up high-profile free agents as well as drafted prospects who have the potential to contribute for years to come.
Despite the talent that the team has added, there are still a few of their contributors from the 2021 season that remain on the free agent market. One of those players is outside linebacker Justin Houston, who was a solid piece for the team on the defensive side of the ball. When fellow outside linebacker Odafe Oweh was asked if he and Houston keep in touch, the second-year player said that the team needs all the help that they can get.
“Yes, we’ve kept in touch. We were together in California like right after the season. But, yes, I’m down for whatever. Justin Houston, he taught me a lot last year. Obviously, off the field and on the field. We can use all the help we can get. So, I’m cool with it.”
Houston accumulated 34 total tackles and 4.5 sacks in 2021 as a member of the Ravens, and was a leader for the team both on and off of the field. With multiple members of Baltimore’s outside linebacker room recovering from major injuries such as Tyus Bowser and David Ojabo, Houston would be a solid veteran addition that wouldn’t break the bank to bring back.
