The Baltimore Ravens placed rookie running back Rasheen Ali on injured reserve.
Prior to the Ravens’ Week 1 game against the Kansas City Chiefs, they’ve made a few roster moves.
After being limited in practice all week, the Ravens placed fifth-round rookie running back Rasheen Ali on injured reserve. To fill his place on the 53-man roster, the team signed inside linebacker Josh Ross from their practice squad.
The Ravens also activated both defensive back Ka’dar Hollman and running back John Kelly from their practice squad for Thursday’s game.
The signing of Ross to the active roster adds to their special teams unit as Ross played 77% of special teams snaps for the Ravens in 2023. He also adds depth to their inside linebacker unit as the Ravens enter with Roquan Smith and Trenton Simpson — their starters — along with Malik Harrison, who doubles as versatile depth inside and outside.
Elevating Kelly gives the Ravens a third running back behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill; the promotion of Hollman also adds to their special teams unit.
