The Ravens were in quite the quarterback pinch in this contest, as their starting signal caller in Lamar Jackson didn’t travel with the team due to an ankle injury while both Tyler Huntley and practice squad quarterback Chris Streveler landed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. That left just Josh Johnson and Kenji Bahar as Baltimore’s only healthy players at the position. Johnson started the game and played well overall, and after the game when asked about what it’s like playing with tight end Mark Andrews, the veteran had plenty of praise for the former University of Oklahoma star.
“He’s different – I’m just going to leave it at that. Mark Andrews is a monster. Just seeing it in practice and then playing with him in the game, he’s a great safety net to have. He’s been doing that since he stepped on the field in the league, and he’s only going to continue to do it. I mean, he’s a blessed one.”
Johsnon and Andrews were on the same page in Week 16, as the pair connected eight times for 125 yards and a score. Andrews made the Pro Bowl for the second time in his NFL-career last week, and he continues to show why he’s one of the best tight ends in the NFL and a trusted target of whoever throws him the football.
