Due to all the uncertainty surrounding Lamar Jackson’s future, the Ravens pursued a veteran quarterback in free agency earlier this offseason.
According to JoeBucsFan.com, the Ravens made an offer to Baker Mayfield.
Mayfield ultimately agreed to a one-year contract with the Buccaneers that’s worth up to $8.5 million.

This report shouldn’t shock Ravens fans. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler actually linked Mayfield to Baltimore back in February.
Mayfield played under new Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken during the 2019 season.
It’s unclear if this news will affect the Ravens’ relationship with Jackson, albeit there already seems to be a ton of tension between the two sides.
Jackson revealed on Twitter that he has requested a trade from the Ravens. Of course, that doesn’t mean they’ll grant his wish.
