Baltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins sat out of the team’s mandatory minicamp this past week due to presumed contract disputes with the franchise.
Dobbins, who’s entering the final year of his rookie deal, hinted at possible contract hangups on Thursday.
“The business side is very hard. It’s very different,” Dobbins told WJZ-TV. “You saw with Lamar [Jackson] … It’s never just roses and daisies. It can be hard at times and it’s business though.”

Dobbins is currently slated to earn $1.39 million this coming season. The former second-round draft pick has had flashes of elite explosiveness, but injury issues have ultimately derailed his career.
Since he was drafted with the No. 55 overall pick in 2020, Dobbins has missed 27 games. Through 23 games played, he’s notched 1,325 rushing yards and 12 total touchdowns.
“So, the thing I can say is — I would love to be a Baltimore Raven for the rest of my career,” Dobbins added. “I would love to because I love the city, I love the people. It feels like family here. It feels like my second home. And I hope that happens.”
