The Baltimore Ravens have been hit harder by injuries in 2021 than any other team in the NFL. Their injury woes began before the season started, and have continued to haunt them at a rapid pace.
On Friday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic made it known that Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh said that the team took another hit on the injury front, as safety Ar’Darius Washington broke his foot and will miss the reminder of the year. It’s another blow to an already depleted Ravens secondary that is missing so many players already.

Washington signed with Baltimore as an undrafted free agent after the 2021 draft, and went on to make the team after an impressive showing in the preseason. He appeared in three games for the Ravens in 2021, totaling one total tackle.
The Baltimore secondary is already missing cornerback Marcus Peters and safety DeShon Elliott, who both suffered season-ending injuries of their own. Four of the team’s cornerbacks are listed as questionable for their Week 12 bout with the Cleveland Browns. There are multiple ways that the Ravens could choose to replace Washington, but their secondary has lost yet another player when they already couldn’t afford to lose much more at the position.
