The Baltimore Ravens and former Green Bay Packer cornerback Jaire Alexander have agreed to a one-year deal worth $4 million dollars that will reunite Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson with his former college teammate. Alexander’s contract can reach up to $6 million through incentives and other roster related bonuses in 2025.
A former first round pick out of Louisville in 2018, Alexander excelled in his seven seasons in Green Bay totaling 12 interceptions, 70 pass deflections, three forced fumbles, and 287 total tackles. Alexander has been named to the Pro Bowl twice coming in 2020 and 2022, while also being named a second-team All-Pro in those same years. Injuries limited Alexander the past two season as he only played in 14 games total between 2023 and 2024, due to back and knee injuries.
Alexander was released by the Packers on June 9th, and it didn’t take long for him to find a new home, as Jackson pushed for the signing of his former Louisville teammate in his press conference following the Ravens first mandatory minicamp practice on Tuesday. Alexander will look to get back to being an All-Pro in Baltimore as he teams up with second-year cornerback Nate Wiggins and veterans Marlon Humphrey and Chidobe Awuzie.
