Jackson, 30, is a seven-year NFL veteran, playing 100 career games, all for the Chicago Bears. In such time, Jackson’s become a takeaway artist, totaling 15 interceptions and six fumble recoveries. Of his 21 career takeaways, Jackson has scored six defensive touchdowns, tying him for the most since 2017 with former Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters.
The addition of Jackson gives the Ravens their all-important No. 3 safety, pairing him with Marcus Williams and Kyle Hamilton.
Adding Jackson to the back-end of an already strong secondary not only gives the team another impact player, it gives Defensive Coordinator Zach Orr the ability to move the “ultimate chess piece” Hamilton all over the field, adding to the defenses versatility.
Jackson now reunites with former Bears teammate Roquan Smith, and Alabama Crimson Tide teammates Marlon Humphrey and Derrick Henry.
In 2023, Jackson played 12 games and totaled 37 tackles, five pass deflections and one interception. According to Pro Football Focus, Jackson (58.6) was their No. 78 graded safety among those playing 20% of snaps last season.
