The Baltimore Ravens and running back Melvin Gordon, 30, agreed to a one-year deal on Friday. The deal is reportedly worth up to just over three-million dollars through incentives.

Drafted in the first round in 2015 out of the University of Wisconsin to the Chargers. Gordon spent five seasons with the Chargers becoming a two-time Pro Bowler. After failing to re-sign with the Chargers at the end of the 2019 season, Gordon signed a two-year $16 million deal with the Denver Broncos. As the 2022 season went on fumbling became an issue for Gordon, as he fumbled five times last season, leading to his release by the Broncos in November.
Gordon would be signed to the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad just eight days later, earning his first Super Bowl in the process. Gordon did not record a carry as a member of the Chiefs.
In his career Gordon has 6,462 career rushing yards, a 4.1 average yards per carry, and 55 touchdowns. While also adding 309 receptions for 2,467 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Gordon joins running backs J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards, Justice Hill, and undrafted rookie Keaton Mitchell. With Dobbins and Edwards both unlikely to play during the preseason expect Gordon to get a lot of playing time as he tries to carve out a role in this Ravens offense.
