If you picked Mark Andrews as your first tight end in fantasy football we hope you have a suitable second one because Andrews might not be getting you any points in Week 1.
According to NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews is not likely to play against the Texans on Sunday. He has been battling a quad injury and was listed as “questionable” on the final injury report.
But in what the insiders called “a bit of a surprise,” it looks like Andrews and the Ravens will be exercising an abundance of caution unless something changes in the next 12 or so hours.
Andrews has been the Ravens’ leading receiver in three of the last four seasons. He is a three-time Pro Bowler, a former First-Team All-Pro selection and about as sure-handed of a receiver as anyone in the NFL today.
#Ravens TE Mark Andrews, who has dealt with a quad injury for the last few weeks and is listed as questionable, is not likely to play vs the #Texans, per me and @TomPelissero. A bit of a surprise.

Mark Andrews has also been a model of health too, missing only five games in five NFL seasons.
For his career, Andrews has 336 receptions for 4,313 yards and 34 touchdowns with 2021 being his masterpiece. That year he had 107 receptions for 1,361 yards and nine touchdowns, earning Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors.
Will the Ravens offense be as potent without Andrews in the lineup?
