The Baltimore Ravens will honor both Joe D’Alessandris and Jacoby Jones this season with a helmet decal.
The Ravens lost two of their flock this offseason with the passing of Jacoby Jones and Joe D’Alessandris. To honor them, the Ravens will don a helmet decal in the shape of a shield with “Joe D.” and “Jacoby 12.”

Harbaugh shared what the helmet decals will mean for the players, team and fans this season.
“Hopefully, those helmet tags of Jacoby Jones and Joe D’Alessandris help to serve as a reminder to all of us that it’s about the people. It’s about the people in your life that you share this time on Earth with. Treat them right, cherish them, celebrate them, love them, and remember them.”
D’Alessandris passed away on August 25, after being hospitalized with an “acute illness.” Before being hospitalized, he was on the field each day doing what he loved, coaching and mentoring offensive linemen, and the men under the pads.
Jones died on July 14 in his hometown of New Orleans due to hypertensive cardiovascular disease. He was just 40 years old.
“I loved Jacoby Jones. We all did,” Harbaugh said when Jones passed. “His spirit, enthusiasm and love for people were powerful. He was a light. He was the cherished son of his loving mom, Ms. Emily.”
