Both teams reportedly agreed to shortened warmups to not prolong the wait any further, so the current time scheduled for kickoff has been moved to 8:40 p.m. ET.
Prior to the weather clearing up at Arrowhead Stadium rain surged and there were reports of thunder and lightning.

Fortunately, it sounds like it will only be a 20-minute delay, so waiting will not be lengthy before kickoff.
