December 19, 2023 by Baltimore Beatdown

NFL: Baltimore Ravens at Jacksonville Jaguars
Jeremy Reper-USA TODAY Sports

In Week 15, the Ravens stacked their fourth consecutive win with a 23-7 primetime victory in Jacksonville. Baltimore’s offense piled up 251 rushing yards, helping to create an eight minute advantage in time of possession. The Ravens defense held the Jaguars to 5.5 yards per play and recovered a pair of Trevor Lawrence fumbles. With the win, Baltimore maintains a one game lead over Miami in the race for the AFC’s top seed.

Quarterbacks

Lamar Jackson: 70 Offensive Snaps (100%)

Tyler Huntley: Did Not Play

Lamar did well to evade pressure, finishing with 171 passing yards, one touchdown, one interception and 97 rushing yards.

Running Backs

Gus Edwards: 28 (40%)

Keaton Mitchell: 25 (36%) — 3 Special Teams Snaps (14%)

Justice Hill: 18 (26%) — 5 (23%)

Mitchell gained 88 yards from scrimmage before exiting with a season-ending knee injury. Edwards broke off a 20-yard run and punched in a 1-yard touchdown. Hill turned five carries into 23 yards, he will be relied upon to bring the speed element to the backfield with Mitchell out.

Tight Ends

Isaiah Likely: 52 (74%) — 1 (5%)

Patrick Ricard: 37 (53%) — 2 (9%)

Charlie Kolar: 25 (36%) — 10 (45%)

Likely led all Baltimore receivers with six targets, five receptions, 70 yards and a touchdown. Kolar added a 15-yard catch.

Wide Receivers

Odell Beckham Jr.: 38 (54%)

Rashod Bateman: 31 (44%)

Nelson Agholor: 28 (40%)

Tylan Wallace: 3 (4%) — 10 (45%)

A week after providing three touchdowns, the wide receivers corps was much less involved against the Jaguars. Bateman caught three passes, two of which resulted in first downs. Beckham and Flowers caught one pass apiece, Agholor’s lone target fell incomplete.

Offensive Line

Kevin Zeitler: 70 (100%) — 5 (23%)

John Simpson: 70 (100%) — 5 (23%)

Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu: Inactive

It was a mixed outing for the Ravens blocking unit. The interior trio fared reasonably well but the offensive tackles struggled to contain Josh Allen and the Jaguars pass rush. Jacksonville sacked Jackson three times and hit him nine times, many of which were attributable to Stanley who surrendered seven pressures. Notably, Faalele’s snaps in the right tackle rotation increased from eight last week to 34 in Week 15.

Defensive Line

Justin Madubuike: 44 Defensive Snaps (71%) — 4 (18%)

Michael Pierce: 28 (45%)

Travis Jones: 25 (40%) — 9 (41%)

Broderick Washington: 19 (31%) — 6 (27%)

Brent Urban: 12 (19%) — 4 (18%)

Impending free agent Madubuike continued his excellent season with six pressures, four quarterback hits, a sack and forced fumble. Neither Jones nor Washington recorded a statistic, Urban notched a tackle for loss.

Inside Linebackers

Roquan Smith: 62 (100%)

Patrick Queen: 62 (100%)

Del’Shawn Phillips: 0 — 17 (77%)

Kyle Van Noy: 38 (61%)

Odafe Oweh: 34 (55%)

Malik Harrison: 9 (15%) — 17 (77%)

Tavius Robinson: 7 (11%) — 10 (45%)

Jeremiah Moon: 0 — 13 (59%)

Oweh was the Ravens most impactful edge rusher with six pressures. Robinson lost more than half of his Week 14 snaps due to Harrison’s return from injury.

Marlon Humphrey: 62 (100%)

Arthur Maulet: 26 (42%) — 10 (45%)

Safeties

Kyle Hamilton: 62 (100%)

Geno Stone: 48 (77%) — 9 (41%)

Marcus Williams: 35 (56%)

Daryl Worley: 0 — 17 (77%)

A week after being sidelined with a knee injury, Hamilton played a full allotment of plays and led the defense with six solo tackles and a pass breakup. Williams was forced from the game with a groin injury and is considered day-to-day.
