Reigning MVP Lamar Jackson will not play in the preseason according to Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh
With the first preseason game for the Baltimore Ravens on Friday, Head Coach John Harbaugh confirmed quarterback Lamar Jackson will not play. Jackson has not played in the preseason the past two years and Harbaugh said “that will be the same.”
Harbaugh did confirm the other quarterbacks on the roster will play, including veteran quarterback Josh Johnson.
With regard to the offensive line, Harbaugh did not rule out the starting offensive line playing together at some point in the preseason, but it won’t occur against the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday.
“We’ll see most of those guys out there,” Harbaugh said. “I don’t know about this game if every one of those guys will be out there. I’m not sure about the offensive line completely, yet. But, they probably won’t be out there with Lamar. But as far as the rest of the guys—we’re pretty young. It’s not like we have a ton of guys not playing over the course of the preseason. So, we’ll see all the guys we need to and it will be quite a few guys.”
