More terrifying news for the Ravens
Bad news regarding the Ravens has been released as the team fears both running back Gus Edwards and cornerback Marcus Peters suffered serious knee injuries during today’s practice.
The #Ravens cut short practice today after CB Marcus Peters and RB Gus Edwards sustained potentially significant knee injuries on back-to-back plays, per me and @MikeGarafolo. The team is having tests done on both players.

The injuries are of significant concern as both occurred on non-contact injuries, according to GMFB’s Peter Schrager.
I’m hearing that both the Marcus Peters and Gus Edwards knee injuries were freak NON-CONTACT injuries. Just horrendous news for Ravens days before Week 1.

For the Ravens, this would be the third running back to suffer a season-ending injury in a matter of weeks. The team already lost starting running back J.K. Dobbins to a season-ending ACL tear in a preseason game against the Washington Football Team, and shortly thereafter, running back Justice Hill tore his Achilles once he returned to practice last Thursday.
If the fears are true, the Ravens will be relying upon undrafted running back Ty’Son Williams to shoulder the load against the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday. The team also brought in veteran running back Le’Veon Bell to the practice squad after the injury to Dobbins. If Edwards is also out, expect him to be promoted to the active roster quickly.

According to reports, practice ended due to Peters and Edwards injuries on back-to-back plays, with both feared to have suffered ACL tears.
